Ki Power Demonstration

This helps to dissipate the power. Sensei Kolesnikov has a new book available, "Return to the Source".

Weapons Demonstrations in Aikido (2 videos)
Aikido Weapons Demonstration
Aikido weapons, Bokken (wooden sword), Jo (wooden staff) as taught in the Kolesnikov School (KSMBDA). Weapons help to extend our Ki power (energy) further. We look at weapons as an art form to show flow, control, skill, beauty and power. Our aim is to stop, not to hit. Anyone can hit, but not everyone can stop - this requires skill and practise. Make no mistake, the smoother it is - the more powerful it is.
|
Aikido Weapons Demonstration Part II
The Universe has no limits to express its flow. By tuning into the Universe through meditation, breathing and mind, body and spiritual work we can become inspired to develop more skills to express this energy in many varied ways.

The Universe is a beautiful place if you know how to look at it. Wasyl Kolesnikov teaches Infinite Tai Chi in Oldham on Tuesdays from 6pm - 7pm.
|
Smoother movements, greater power
Ki Aikido is taught in the Kolesnikov's School (KSMBDA). Energy flow is shown (that which you don't see) first. This is developed by our Aikido (the way of harmony with Ki) and mind and body development movements. The smoother the movements are - the more powerful they are. When we are relaxed - dynamically our energy flows freely. Principles are being shown through all the clips. We learn to flow WITH the power, not against it.
|
The Way Of Harmony with Ki
In the movement there is a lot of co-ordination and a lot of skill. Creativity is expressed through the mind and through the body. By linking with the Universe through meditation, breathing and energy work we are open to the unlimited potential in our practice, and in our life.
